Final Presentation Research and Development part - 2 In the PPT I talked about, Project Concept Target Audience Value of Research Technology Research and Testing Implementation Project Schedule Project concept People are being tied to their phone and social media. Though internet has promised us lots of opportunities, people are getting more dissociative instead of being connected. Relationships have become obsolete as more options to meet people have opened. It’s become a necessary evil in a way. Relationships are not considered as important as it used to be. People seem to be more anxious due to problems risen from relationships. Human interaction and communication have become a scarce phenomenon. The objective of the research will remain unchanged and more options will be explored to understand and help people with relationship and interaction issues. Target Audience This project is mainly focused or targeted towards teenagers and young adults of the age

Mockup of conceptual design proposal Animation To showcase the design proposal's idea of the game, a short animation was made to explain how the VR game worked, how it is related to the research topic. The video shocases, the tech used, how the game works and how to brings people closer. Here's a video of the animation video below.

Method of approach

Virtual Reality - VR Virtual Reality has become a great trend. Using VR for my design proposal was ideal as it provides enhanced experience for both the players. In this proposal project ,inside VR one of the players can interact in a 3D environment and interact with objects present there.  Leap Motion Sensor The Leap Motion controller is a small USB peripheral device which is designed to be placed on a physical desktop, facing upward. It can also be mounted onto a virtual reality headset. Using two monochromatic IR cameras and three infrared LEDs , the device observes a roughly hemispherical area, to a distance of about 1 meter. The LEDs generate pattern-less IR light [27] and the cameras generate almost 200 frames per second of reflected data. [28] This is then sent through a USB cable to the host computer, where it is analyzed by the Leap Motion software using "complex maths" in a way that has not been disclosed by the company, in some way synthesizing 3D position

How does "Keep Talking and nobody Explodes" work?

Gameplay Each bomb in the game consists of multiple modules; the modules are independent of each other and can be disarmed in any order. [4] Most modules require disarming, with the bomb successfully disarmed when all such modules are successfully disarmed. Disarming these modules requires the Defuser to relay visual indicators to the Experts, who then use the manual to determine what actions the Defuser to take. Other modules are needy; they cannot be disarmed and demand periodic attention to prevent them from going off while the bomb is still armed. Each bomb will also have a countdown timer that, if it hits zero, will cause the bomb to go off. Bombs will also have a maximum number of strikes resulting from errors made during defusing (also speeding the timer), and if that maximum is reached, the bomb will also go off. Other obstacles to the Defuser include the lights in the virtual room going out momentarily, and alarm clocks that will distract the Defuser.  Modules use comp

Example of Games that uses VR Tech

1. Keep Talking and nobody explodes In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, one player is trapped in a room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the “Experts” who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the Bomb Defusal Manual. But there’s a catch: the Experts can’t see the bomb, so everyone will need to talk it out – fast! Rounds are fast-paced, tense, occasionally silly, and almost always loud. Everybody has a role to play whether they are defusing the bomb or deciphering information from the manual. Puzzle solving and communication skills – and maybe a few friendships – will be put to the test as players race to defuse bombs while communicating quickly, clearly, and effectively. Features Challenging puzzles – Test the limits of your communication skills… and friendships? A different bomb every time – Procedurally generated puzzles keep the action fresh. Local multiplayer party game – Bomb defusing is a tea

What tech do VR use?

3DRudder for PlayStation VR The PlayStation VR offers players the ability to look around their virtual environment in 360 degrees and PlayStation Move makes the experience even more realistic. With not being able to use your feet, however, something still feels slightly off . The 3DRudder for PlayStation VR aims to fix that by allowing players to tilt, spin, or apply pressure with their feet to move around in their favorite PlayStation VR games. It can be used to move a character around and even control the camera, freeing up the DualShock 4 or PlayStation Move controllers to perform other actions. Its function varies by game, and 20 are compatible with it at the moment. Vive Pro Eye Dan Baker/Digital Trends The premium Vive Pro VR headset just got even better with the integration of Tobii eye-tracking technology. The Vive Pro Eye is designed to create an even more immersive virtual reality experience, offering users the ability to navigate menus and perform many
